In our Body Sculpt class, we would train all the muscles in our body in a highly-intensive, 30-minute resistance training class. We perform both basic body weight exercises and exercises that uses dumbbells or resistant bands.
All fitness level options would be demonstrated so that you could participate in this class. Whether you're out of shape or an athlete, there would be something for you to do in this class!
Each class would have a different focus: upper body, core, and total body.
We work the chest, back, arms, and shoulders, and abs. Some of the exercises we do are push-ups, back extensions and rows, walking planks, mountain climbs, tricep dips, and bicep curls.
We zero in the core area, which includes your abdominal and lower back muscles. Some of the exercises we do are planks, side planks, crunches, reverse crunches, back extension and rows.
Perhaps the most intense of all the classes, because it includes lots of plyometric moves such as squat jumps and jumping lunges. We do a combination of upper body, core, and leg exercises.
All classes are coordinated to upbeat and inspiring music! Since the class is so intense, we need more motivation than just hearing the instructor shout at you!
Each participant must bring the following to class:
- Dumbbells or any hand weights up to 10-lbs each. I strongly advise bringing at least two sets of weights where one pair is lighter than the other.
- Floor mat or thick towel for floor work
- If your knees or elbows are sensitive to hard surfaces, consider bringing knee and elbow pads.
- Plenty of fluid
The Body Sculpt class would be available two times a week.
