Whenever bad things happen to us, we think "Why me" or "What have I done to deserve this" or "It's not fair!" Unfortunately, we can't avoid challenges -- but we could accept challenges more easily if we're willing to see them as opportunities for change.
While we were struggling financially, we had lots of car problems. We had two vehicles and both of them would have the SAME problem happening at the SAME time. We couldn't afford to keep throwing hundreds of dollars at a mechanic to fix them. So, I decided to challenge myself to fix minor problems with my car by watching YouTube videos. Pretty soon, I was working on my own cars and saving THOUSANDS of dollars in mechanic costs!
Now whenever I have a car issue, I don't worry about it. I'm thinking about how I could fix it! I hated going through car issues, but now I'm thankful that I did!
Challenges push you reach a higher level in life than where you are now. Challenges force you to become better, to do better, to seek better, and to think better. If it weren't for challenges, we would all be in the same ol' place, thinking the same ol' way, having the same ol' views in life.
Why does it take a challenge to improve us? Because:
- Comfort doesn't push us anywhere.
- Comfort keeps us where we are.
- Comfort tells us to stop trying.
- Comfort tells us we don't need to improve.
Challenges, however, tell you that you could do better and be better in life.
No, you probably don't see it that way now. You're still quite bitter about the challenge that you're still going through. But in time, you will look back and see that this challenge was actually helping you.
Hang tight! Don't give up! Keep pushing on, because the challenge doesn't want to see you fail. It wants you to succeed!
